The FAQ
Do you Travel?
Yes!!! All driving travel outside of 40 miles from Protection, KS will have a non-negotiable $0.72/mile mileage fee, per the 2026 IRS mileage rate. If overnight travel is required lodging must be provided or a $200/night fee will be applied. Air travel must be covered in full by the client.
How many photos do we get?
Depending on your session package will dictate how many photos you receive! You can find those details under my "services" section!
Do you retouch photos?
I do edit my photos using editing software, I do remove distracting objects from the background of images, stray fly-away hairs, etc.
How do we book you?
To start the booking process please inquire under the inquire here tab on this website! After I receive your inquiry I will get back to you within 48 hours with my availability and pricing for what you are looking for! Once a date and rough location is set I will send you a session confirmation which includes a contract and questionnaire along with an invoice for payment. I require a 50% retainer on regular sessions and a $250 retainer on weddings and large events!
How far out do you book?
I book up to 6 months in advance for regular sessions and a year in advance for weddings!
How long have you been doing this?
I am currently in my fourth year of business! I have been taking photos for much longer but professionally, 4 years!
How do we get our photos?
Your photos will be deliver in an online gallery through Pixieset! I will email you your gallery with your download PIN and instructions on how to download them as well as instructions on how to order prints through Pixieset! Your gallery can only be downloaded using the download PIN and can be fully locked upon request!
Whats your turn around time?
I aim for a three-week turn-around time! Depending on the length of your session and the amount of photos I captured it can take anywhere from two weeks to a month!
Weddings and large events are an exception, if I captured those for you, you should expect a 4-6 week turn around time.
Can you help us with planning?
I am more than happy to help you plan where your photos will take place and a date and time! I am also happy to help with outfit coordination and selection! All clients have access to my ever growing client closet that primarily has selections for women, children, and newborns.
For weddings and large events I will lightly guide you through any questions you may have, give suggestions to make the day run smoothly, and be a support for you on your big day! All wedding packages include two pre-wedding consultations with me, with the option for more upon request.
What should we wear?
I recommend wearing what you are going to feel comfortable in! Wear what makes you feel 1. comfortable 2. confident 3. and ready to take photos! I am more than happy to help you will styling guides and outfit selection to make sure you LOVE your photos and that they are timeless! I always recommend earthy tones and textures with subtle pops of color. I recommend avoiding heavily matching outfits and rather individualizing each person to their style!
I do have a small client closet available for use with any session. Currently it mostly consists of women's dresses and layering pieces with a few kids and baby items!
